On this page I'll post all kinds of memes, mods, videos and other stuff from and about PC gaming, including mods I have made for games. I only play PC games, so the mods will also be for PC games. Whether or not the mods will work on PlayStation or Xbox - IDK.

  • Galaxy on Fire 2 HD - full gameplay with my mod for it.

The mod contains many changes but I'll try to list some of them:
all ships have 30 slots for equipment, all ships have 10 times more health points and cargo spaces (only the Veteran has the highest cargo space (4500 tons), Large Cabin can hold 50 people instead of just 10, the asteroid drills have better handling and yield with the best drill having 10,000% handling and 500% yield, "Shrinker BT" has a much better compression rate, boosters have better speed. The best booster gives 350% bonus to speed, lasts 7.5 seconds and reloads for 1 second. Beamshield II can protect you from 25 simultaneos shots. It doesn't make you immortal, you can still be destroyed. Armor plating is better. The weapon "M6A1 Wolf" deals 270 damage, so if you buy a ship with 3 or 4 primary weapon slots, you'll deal over 800 damage per shot which means one shot kill. The guided missile "Edo" deals about 2000 damage and has a range about 13 kilometers.

  • GRID 2 - the game that was supposedly unplayable in Linux. I made it work in Linux almost 2 years before Steam made it work but it took some time to find a good quality codec with which to record the gameplay, that's why the video is just a year old.

    OS: Arch Linux
    Kernel: x86_64 Linux 5.6.14-arch1-1
    Shell: bash
    DE: Cinnamon 4.6.1
    CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 @ 8x 3.9GHz [33.0°C]
    GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
    RAM: 32037MiB

There's only one way to run this game for the moment and it's not Steam Proton. It's Wine 5.7 with DXVK 1.7, using library override (32-bit d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll) in winecfg and ulimits set to 1048576 (without that limit set to this number - forget to be able to run the game).
If there's any graphical breaking up on the video, it's because of the recording program (Simple Screen Recorder) and is also the reason I crashed several times. Without SSR the game runs perfectly smooth.

Note: nowadays it can be played with Steam Proton 6.xx or Experimental but the frame rate is still a lot lower than the frame rate of Wine outside of Steam.

  • Having some drift fun on St. Petersburg map in "CarX Drift Racing Online" (it's available on Steam). Pardon the horrible quality, it's just that both nvidia and youtube hate the H265 codec and squash its quality to this mess of pixels.

  • Another mod of mine, this time for Hard Truck Apocalypse. There's an instruction inside the archive on how to install it.
On the video you'll see these lines running through the screen - that was a problem with the nvidia driver on Mint 18.3. That doesn't happen anymore on Arch and Mint 20, so simply ignore these lines.

  • First post on this page is for those who find NFS MW 2005 too hard to beat. For years I was unable to beat this game because the cops and the opponents always have superior cars, infinite NOS and the ramming police SUVs send you flying backwards. So I found a tool to change all that and make the game more fun to play.

Installation is easy: simply unpack the archive somewhere, then copy the GLOBAL directory and paste it in the main directory of the game where the EXE is located. When asked to overwrite files, confirm.
    Enjoy!

P.S. I'm never gonna upload this mod to nfscars.net bc their moderators are assholes!
